CWANA Regional Meeting: 6-9 May 2002, Aleppo, Syria.
Post
harvest (Global Post Harvest System)
The Regional Workshop on the Global Initiative toward strengthening the Post Harvest Sector (GIPHT) for the CWANA Region is going to be held in Cairo on 4-6 February, 2002. The objective of this workshop is to assess the current status and requirements of the post-harvest sector in each region.This Workshop is conducted by FAO and coordinated by AARINENA.
Collaboration with AOAD on a workshop
A workshop is organized by AOAD on Strengthening Cooperative Research for Developing Environmental Indicators for Monitoring and Controlling the Desertification in the Arab World in Beirut during the 2nd half of the year 2002.
AOAD is asking for
the collaboration of AARINENA in organizing the above-mentioned workshop. After
asking the Executive Committee Members for their approval and comments on this
subject, it has been agreed that AARINENA would collaborate with AOAD in
organizing this workshop.
The AARINENA 8th General Assembly
The AARINENA 8th General Assembly is supposed to be held in Jordan during the last week of May, precisely 26-28 May 2002. The final date is not fixed yet.
The
Agenda of the assembly should include general progress report on AARINENA
activities to be approved, finalization of AARINENA Secretariat, and the
Presidency.
