WANA NARS study Publication.

 This publication is a very comprehensive study, which analyzes the national agricultural research system in 18 countries in WANA. It is essential for the leaders of national, international, scientific, technical and donor organizations concerned with agricultural research in the region. It helps NARS’s leaders to better assess their own situation and set their priorities to strengthen their agricultural research and education institutes; in addition to facilitating regionalization and complementarity of agriculture research in Mediterranean region.  Copies were sent to the Ministries of Agriculture, FAO/UNDP Representatives, Faculties of Agriculture and Agricultural Research Institutes of each AARINENA member country.  Additional copies are available upon request.

 Publication of an Agricultural Research Directory

 In the contest of the above mentioned AARINENA and FAO with the collaboration of various colleagues in NARS Secretariat published a Directory of Agricultural Research Institutions in the Near East and North Africa Region 2000 for 224 NARS Institutions from 16 countries of the AARINENA region showing also some of the country indicators like: population, land use and land cover categories. The responsible of this directory from FAO promised that every NARS institution that has participated to this directory would receive an official copy.
