Directories

INASP Directory

INASP is a co-operative network of partners. Its aim is to improve worldwide access to information and knowledge. In particular its mission is to improve the flow of information within and between countries, especially those with less developed systems of publication and dissemination, by publishing the INASP Directory and a sister publication the INASP Directory of Organizations and Networks in Rural Development: Africa  (which also includes an international section). Both these publications were out of date and were revised and published in hard copy as previously but also in CD ROM format and be included on the website, with links to the relevant home site.

The draft profile on AARINENA was updated by sending the corrected information to Dr. Pru Watts-Russell and the Association was included in the next editions.

Publication of an Agricultural Research Directory

In the contest of the above mentioned AARINENA and FAO with the collaboration of various colleagues in NARS Secretariat published a Directory of Agricultural Research Institutions in the Near East and North Africa Region 2000 for 224 NARS Institutions from 16 countries of the AARINENA region showing also some of the country indicators like: population, land use and land cover categories. An official copy was sent to each NARS institution that has participated to this directory. Extra copies are available upon request from AARINENA or FAO.
