Hotel rate per night with breakfast:
Single Room : 4600+10.5% Syrian Pound (SP)
Double Room : 5200+10.5% SP
Meals:
- Breakfast is included in the room rate
- Lunches (12 & 13 October 2008) all participants are invited to have
lunch at the hotel courtesy of AARINENA
- Dinners: 2 dinner invitations on 12 & 13 October 2008 and lunch on 14
October for all participants (place will be announced during the
meeting).
Formalities to enter Syria
Visas:
- All travelers need a valid passport
- Participants that need entry visas to Syria, please contact the Syrian
Embassy in your country, if there is no Embassy then please send a copy
of your passport to the meeting secretariat.
Airport taxes:
If the participant got the visa from his/her country, he/she will not
pay any fees at the airport. But if the participant obtains the visa
upon arrival to Damascus airport visa fees between 15-30$ according to
the nationality.
Vaccination:
No special vaccination is required
Flight details:
Please send your flight details to the Meeting Secretariat as soon as
possible.
Flight Confirmation:
For Electronic tickets you do not need any reconfirmation for your
flight back to your country for other tickets please contact the meeting
secretariat.
Climate:
October is autumn time
Maximum temperature 20ºC
Minimum temperature 8ºC
Local Transportation:
- Airport pickup will be arranged by the local host institution
Secretariat if you provide your travel details to the secretariat by
20th September 2008.
- In case you did not send your flight details, please take a taxi from
the airport to the hotel at your own expense, cost approximately: 700 SP
Change:
We recommend the change of money at the airport, the hotel reception or
in exchange offices.
Exchange rate: SY 46 = US$ 1
SY 69 = Euro 1
Note:
Please note that the prices of USD and Euro (mentioned
above) may change in accordance to any fluctuations in the exchange
rate.
Language:
Official language of the conference will be the English Language.
