Iran is located in South West Asia. It is bound by Azerbaijan, Armenia, Turkmenistan and the Caspian Sea to the north, Afghanistan and Pakistan to the east, Iraq to the west, Turkey to the northwest, the Gulf of Oman, the Persian Gulf and the Arabian Sea to the south.The total area land is 1.636 million sq km
