Algeria takes place  in northern Africa, bordered by the Mediterranean Sea in the north. The neighbour countries are  Tunisia in the northeast, Libya in the east, Niger in the southeast, Mali and Mauritania in the southwest, and Morocco in the west. The total area land is 2,381,740 sq km.
