The Post-Harvest Processing Technologies group has
to focus on the development of the overall post-harvest technology processes,
including the preservation the quality of the product and the improvement of the
processing techniques for the medicinal products, both for export and local
consumption:
• Establishment a uniform standards concerning collection, cleaning, grading,
packaging and trading.
• Development of standards, Quality control, safety and efficacy procedures, for
the handling of medicinal products throughout the overall chain, from the field
to the consumer or manufacturing.
• Coordinate with pharmaceutical departments staff in the local universities and
pharmaceutical companies for the development of some medicinal plants to
valuable medicinal products
